This explains what personal information I collect through this website, why I collect it, how long I keep it and what you can ask me to do with it. It is written in plain English rather than legal language, deliberately.

Who is responsible

Ayrshire Coast Property is a trading name of GG-180-503 Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16867898, registered office C/O GetGround, 1 Lyric Square, London W6 0NB. The company is the data controller for information collected here.

You can reach me at hello@ayrshirecoastproperty.co.uk or on 07479 188289.

What I collect

Only what the enquiry form asks for, and only what you choose to type into it:

I do not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies on this site, so nothing is collected about you unless you fill in the form or contact me directly.

Why I collect it

To reply to your enquiry, work out what the property might be worth, and — if it goes that far — to progress a purchase. That is the only reason. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked me to get in touch about a property, and I need these details to do that usefully. Where an enquiry becomes an actual purchase, the basis becomes performance of a contract and, for the records I have to keep afterwards, legal obligation.

Who else sees it

Nobody, with three practical exceptions:

I do not sell, rent or trade your details, and I do not add you to marketing lists.

I will only pass your details to anyone else if you ask me to. Sometimes a direct sale is not your best option — if you are not in a hurry and want the fullest price, an estate agent will usually do better for you. In that case I am happy to introduce you to one, or to another buying service, but only if you tell me to. Nothing goes anywhere without your say-so.

How long I keep it

You can ask me to delete your details sooner than any of this, at any point, and I will.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete it, restrict what I do with it, or object to me holding it at all. Email or ring me and I will deal with it within one month, at no charge.

If you are not happy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Enquiries go to a password-protected email account with two-factor authentication. I am one person, so the number of people who can see your details is one.
